Valentine's Day was started by hallmark, to sell more cards.

The alternate name is Single's Awareness Day, I think.

Single Awareness is not a protest though ... it acknowledges that there is something wrong with the individual for not going through the motions and that we should want to go through the motions. So Anti-Emotional Blackmail Protest Day is yet another alternative.

I retract the statement about Valentines Day being artificial--it's an actual tradition.

The best present for Valentines Day, is ALWAYS a dick in a box. Not a gay teddybear or a pajamagram. A Dick In A Box will always win her over.

When ever I went shopping for roses, I was never affected by the price hikes.

(It is nice to discover growers who don't raise rates for Valentine's or Prom season.)
