I meant to do the 30 days of Harry Potter meme, but I saw this and decided to do this meme for now.
Day One: How did you first get into Harry Potter? Was it love at first sight or did it take some comvincing?
I was in third grade, and a boy in my class asked me if I had read Harry Potter. I said no, and then he asked why I hadn't read it. Well, sometimes when I was a kid I just decided I didn't like something without any reason, without even trying it. So I said "I don't read it because it sound stupid!"
Then not too long after that our class took our weekly trip to the school library, and I decided to look at these Harry Potter books. And you know what convinced me to try reading it?
It had such a pretty cover! And a unicorn! Yes, I seriously did judge books by their covers when I was younger.
So I read the first few chapters, and was very bored by these Dursley assholes. Still, I persisted, and the moment that Hagrid said "Harry, yer a wizard" I was hooked.
