wardytron and I went to Cappadokia on an insanely cheap trip advertised with my RSPB membership. It was just £190 each for flights, four and five star hotels and a round trip tour that ended up being nearly 2000km, and another £175 quid each for lunches, dinners and entrances to all the museums etc

Thanks for this fantastic write-up. I feel very much as though I have vicariously enjoyed your holiday now, peering over your shoulder! I'm quite surprised to hear how cold it was, but your snowy pictures look extremely beautiful.

I was really glad we checked the weather reports before we went and dressed accordingly. Holiday snow is fun, though; it's not like slithering down to Tescos would be be here!
