Yay for "Chuck"! I love that show. Totally hooked here.
Yeah, LJ's had quite a few changes. Like it got sold to another company. You might want to read up on it. I'm still trying to figure it all out myself.
I saw "Sweeney Todd" today. I'll go out on a limb and say it's excellent but very dark and bloody.
I really liked it. A special screening in Seattle. No, I hadn't seen the earlier movie but I did see Angela Lansbury in the stage play in about 1980. A really good musical. This current movie is that Sondheim version.
Ah, good. Yes, I saw the movie of the play that I was referring to, and it was incredible. That's why I was curious to know if you'd seen it, too, or if you didn't have something like it to compare to.
*ggl* Yes, he WOULD! Guess I didn't see his name written down very much.
Ah - thank you!
Say, am I the only one bothered by the fact that you can no longer just enter in a person's name at the top to read them - you have to log in first? Doesn't that sort of keep people OUT of LJ?
You don't have to be logged in to read a non-locked journal, or even to use the site search - the problem is getting access to the search box from the main LJ page. If you have a journal bookmarked in your browser you can still get there without logging on. Alternatively, if the journal owner has enabled the navigation toolbar you can use that.
"the problem is getting access to the search box from the main LJ page" - exactly! Hmmm... I don't usually bookmark LJ pages. But, yes - it used to be that if I wanted to visit somebody's LJ without going to my own, I could just type their name in at the front. So odd that they took that out.
For example, what if you told a friend "hey, I'm on LJ - want to check me out?" - how would they find you?
"You didn't hear about the Polar Bear" is Charlie to Michael (I think) from LOST...or were you asking about the buds, suds and inebriation quote? That one I can't help you with!
So you sound pretty chipper, the holidays must be good for you so far!
Can't see the YouTube...tells me its been removed. Sadness. :(
*L*! I was asking about the suds, etc., but you're right - that's Charlie!
I'll confess - the suds quote is from "Family Guy" when they do a takeoff on "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at a brewery; it's a parody of "Pure Imagination"... *G*

You liked it then - good to hear!
BTW - had you seen the one with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury (if I have the names right), did you like that?

Have you seen The Golden Compass yet?

They re-jigged all the menus - to view your friends page just click on "Friends" at the top of the menu. Ditto profile.
