So, I usually don't go ahead and do the big political/moralistic hullabaloo on here. It's just not what I do...but there's something about to go down in California (literally, within hours) that I feel deserves all of our attention. I think the reason he won't participate in that 'debriefing' is loyalty... reformed or not, anti-gang books notwithstanding, those are people he befriended, defended on the streets, and possibly even swore an oath to protect and look out for. There's an odd sense of honor about a street gang: you might mess with the cops or anybody who steps on your terf without an engraved "please-don't-shoot-my-ass" invitation, but you don't mess with one another unless there's a damn good reason.

He might be reformed but he's holding on to his honor. I have to admire that.

I don't think he should be executed, either.

I'll agree that the man's honor may have been his upswing and his downfall. Regardless, the more and more I study of the case (and it's been a bit on the lengthy side) the more and more I come to realize that there isn't REALLY a right answer in this case...simply speculation.

FUck his honor. But I can't really condone anymore killing.

I wish he'd have been spared.
