Warning: This is NOT pretty.

There is an "artist" who has exhibited the death of a starving dog (he tied it to a rope in a gallery and gallery visitors watched it slowly starve to death over days) as his masterpiece.

Warning the link below has pictures and is not pretty.

It does ,however, also include a petition to encourage other galleries (this is occurring outside the U.S.) ( Read more... )

Since when did "making a statement" automatically become classified as "art"? I mean, I can make a smartass sign at a protest and make a very important statement, but five minutes + sarcasm + poster board = does not an art piece make. Performance art implies that at least someone (or in this case, something) is attempting, through their direct action, to convey a statement, thought or feeling. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that dog could've given two f**ks less what the art-eest was trying to convey when Rembrandt the Retard walked his lazy ass over and tied Poochy up. All Poochy cared about was getting the hell outta Dodge before some other crazy-assed art-eest decided to use him in a performance piece involving a boiling pot of water and the last five vegetables left in the entire country. Perhaps there should be a call for some brilliant soul to tie this a**hat up naked to a rope for a few days while people gawk at him and try to figure out what in the hell's being conveyed as he whines for food and takes a dump in the corner ( ... )

omg.
how could people have came in and just watched and left him there?!?!
Never in my life could I have left him there, even if a fight were to ensue.
I fucking hate people like this, anyone who can torture an animal, is not human, and doesn't deserve to be here.
