Snow Storm Update

Mar 02, 2007 09:17

Just thought I'd give a quick update on our snowstorm situation. The full force of the storm did not hit our city until about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. It took it nearly seven hours to get from ( Read more... )

Hi Rose
We've got your wind girl!!
It's down right blustery. Snow all day on and off and terrible snow drifts making driving quite scary (and I was out in it all day).
I'm ready for spring!!

That wind was horrid, wasn't it?! I am glad is is calm and quiet there now, too. We don't have the wind any more but I just heard on the news that the roads are still sheets of ice.

Well, you know from my emails what a mess things are here in NH. I guess we'll be shoveling snow all weekend...assuming it ever stops snowing so we can. *grrr*

UGH! Sounds like a real pain, Yeux. I hope it is not as bad as they are predicting. Have you ever considered moving south? :-)

No....we like the change of seasons. But I'd like to have the kind of winters Rach has....not all this snow and cold.

Rose, I'm so glad you all are okay and that your husband got home safely. That wind sounds scary. Thank goodness your tree survived. It sounds like a beautiful tree.

I know what you mean about having your family safe and sound in your house while the blizzard blows outside. Even when our power was out in January, I was just glad that we were all safe here together.

We've had nice weather here. This storm missed us completely. We actually had a few snow flurries this morning. But we've mostly had rain. This is the time of year that I start to worry about tornadoes. Those tornadoes in Alabama and one here in Missouri were so awful.

Thanks, Katydid. I was also very thankful that my hubby made it home safely and that our lovely tree survived. And it sounds like you understand exactly what I felt about having my whole family safe here at home. I have often thought it will be hard when my children are adults and not safe and sound under my roof during the "storms of life" any more. But I am getting off on a tangent (and realistically, I do want them to grow up to enjoy adult independence, too).

Glad the storm missed you completely. I know what you mean about tornadoes. I worry about those, too. And it was very tragic about the lives that were lost in this last cluster of tornadoes.
