Low Expectations

Jun 29, 2004 22:06

After reading some comments about the latest episode of QaF my expectations were so lowered that I found the episode quite tolerable - boring, but tolerable. Even Debbie and Mel didn't annoy me as much as they usually do ( Read more... )

But I thought it really stank that Emmett told Ted about the affair even though he promised secrecy and knows how much Drew wanted that secrecy.

And they were in a public place! But I'm totally getting into Dremmett, much to my surprise.

Ms. Marcus, that you are throwing stones like you are without sin?

Hee. But I can still see why she'd be upset. Not to excuse her actions in S1 at all, but I found it more understandable, given how strained things were with Lindsay.

But the old guy with the line about "before we had hope" was just too much. That was so sacharine sweet and stupid it really hurt.

I totally agree. We get it, stop hammering us over the head, CowLip!

So, I'm getting the impression you really don't like Debbie very much... ;P

Thank you for using that lovely icon! I think it is positively adorable!

True, it is more devastating if the adultery comes into a seemingly intact relationship, but there are a few problems here, Dr. Watson. First of all I don't buy the deep love and honest commitment between Mel and Lindsey, secondly I don't care about Melanie and think she is a sanctimonious good-for-nothing and thirdly I think that Michelle Clunie is almost as bad an actress as Thea Gill. So this storyline fails to grip me, and MC's acting skills just don't help getting me involved with poor, eternally pregnant Mel's distress.

Well, whatever gave you that idea? The mother of the heart of the show! What's not to love?

I love you!

Do you ever wonder why we watch the show since the majority of the character make us grind our teeth? The things we do for Brian!

I am in total agreement with you. Boring storyline for Brian. And the residents of the hospice were pathetic beyond words. It was almost funny in a macabre sort of way. I know, I'm bad. :D

Listen, I want your comments on the season for WLM. Once the season is over, we ask our authors for commentary on the season as a whole. You may have read the S3 commentary. This year, we'd like to get some additional feedback. Michele wants to put it on CD and send it to Cowlip. LOL!

Sometimes it's easier and sometimes it is really tough going! I only wonder whether our sacrificices will ever be given their proper due. Sadly I doubt it. And being a total spoiler whore, the rest of the season doesn't look too promising. Sigh.

That's what I love about you! And I look positively compassionate next to you. *eg

But... my comments are totally personal and pretty unreflected and very, very biased and not grammatically correct and I have no idea about proper punctuation...
And did I mention that I dislike almost everyone on that show to differing degrees except Brian whom I love and adore but still criticize?

he is much too decent a guy for that foul-mouthed, vulgar, selfish, hypocritical b*tch

*cackles* Are we the only ones with the Debbie hate? You know I have a second summer challenge title from Rhi, and I was thinking about a Mikey/Horvath story just to piss on Debbie.

I so agree about keeping secrets. People forget how much damage they can do by violating a trust. Me? I've got secrets I'd love to tell, but I'll take them to my grave anyway.

btw, love the new icon :-)

I refuse to think that we are the only ones! There must be hordes of us, shaking our heads and muttering in disgust.

Now, now, let's not get overboard with despair and madness. There is some lovely, calming tea, dear. Drink it, you will feel so much better afterwards!

I am one of the few people who hate the character Chloe on Smallville.

You know I can't stand her either, and for the same reasons. Right from S1 I saw her as a much greater threat to Clark than Lex could ever be.

I hate those suckers and will buy poison to kill them this weekend!

lol! I'm going to make us both a cup of that calming tea!
