I've reached the same conclusion, but you expressed the whys and wherefores much much better than I have been able to.

I really resent the fact that suddenly for no organic reason whatsoever, Clark is all "Lex is my ENEMY! He is EVIL! He is no good! He lied to me and betrayed me from the beginning!" WTF? Excuse me? Mr. Truthful Is Not My Middle Name Kent? And we are supposed to care that Lana Superfluous Character Lang is now, again for no reason, being shoehorned in as "Super Smallville Pink Protector Woman"?

No thanks.

Please come over to my pyramid any time and hang out *G*.

Exactly so. As bad as the changing of Lana from a High school crush into the soulmate cr*p was, now she is supposed to become mythical? Not in my myths, she ain't.
And I was totally prepared for the lack of reality in this show, but the amount of unbelievable things I am supposed to accept in connection with Lana (staying in Smallville without Nell, managing the Talon, going to Paris as an artiste, being the most sophisticated Highschool senior ever there with an adoring, adult boyfriend, a Warrior Princess in Medieval Europe, buried in church) are just too ridiculous to swallow anymore.

Thanks for the invitation to the pyramids. Lovely weather you have there, my dear.

*nods* yup, that's about the size of it. I didn't watch any of S3 and won't be watching S4. I knew which way the wind was blowing in S2 (with regard to Lex) and have no intention of watching as my favourite character is decimated. Lex is the best thing Clark has. In MHO Jonathan is not only hypocritical, he's a liar as well. Jonathan IS exactly what he accuses Lex of being. I won't even start on how much I hate Chloe and how ridiculous the character of Lana is. I think we've covered that ground pretty thoroughly : ) I can't believe they have Clark turning against Lex because of the room he found...how flimsy and excuse is that? Clark has told so many lies to Lex and his other so called friends that he should be able to forgive Lex his curiosity...Not doing so makes Clark the numero uno hypocrit.
