I just got back from seeing the new musical
The Blue Flower. According to the website, it's about "four lovers and friends finding their way through a world in pieces" during and after World War I. Hee! But in both cases, there's a complicated lineage (going back to the 1920s and the Louise Brooks bob) that I would love to know more about. That said, I would totally get a bob if my hair could do it. (I will always have Hermione Granger bushy hair). I got this icon because I love the look, and not just so I can illustrate my vaguely feminist ramblings.

Some day we will make a better fanfic, yes?
Yes! After reading your marvelous Calypso, I would love to see what you do with the Weimar artists--Jack Harkness optional, but welcome. Or maybe I'll someday bridge the gap between my academic interests and fandom, enough to add my bit to the "As Chris Isherwood said..." period of Jack's life.
(I would love to get a Brooks cut myself--hence this icon, which is my fantasy look--but I have incurably curly, fly-away hair. Your Anna Wintour look sounds like a good sleek option!)
Sorry about this slow reply, but I loved getting your comment, and I'm wishing you happy holidays!
