One long, convoluted sentence of description can be turned into eight lines of snappy dialogue, and still convey the same information... but in a painless, sugar-coated kind of way. Who knew?! (In case you're wondering, the answer to that is "anyone who has actually written fic rather than academic prose.")

Oooh, I would like to read that fic! Have you posted it? I always enjoy your portrayals of snooty rich purebloods whom we can't help loving anyway (Pansy!), so you would be the perfect person to capture Champagne Socialists.
