Directions: Go to popculturemadness.com and find the Greatest Hits for the year you turned 18. Select the first 50. Bold the ones you like. Strike out the ones you hate. Italicize the ones you are familiar with but neither like nor hate. Leave the ones you don't know as is.

Songs you probably know... and most of them suck

17. (You Drive Me) Crazy - Britney Spears - chorus at 130
18. All The Small Things - Blink 182 - I dislike the song, but the video is a somewhat amusing boyband parody
22. Why Don't You Get A Job? - The Offspring - I think I prefer this song to Pretty Fly For A White Guy
25. Shake Your Bon Bon - Ricky Martin - no video. Be glad if you don't remember this.
27. That Don't Impress Me Much - Shania Twain - See: Ricky Martin
32. Blue - Eiffel 65 - I'm sorry if this gets stuck in your head. Chorus at 0:30

And yes, 1999 did suck ass. At least the death of grunge crept its way into '96.

The "All the Small Things" video is one of the greatest parodies ever - too bad the song sucked and nobody seemed to notice. Honestly, the only Blink 182 song worth a damn is "Dammit" (another classic video) - and that's largely because they sound like the immature Green Day rip-off they should have been.

The only reason people like "Why Don't You Get a Job" is because subconsciously they're singing "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" along with it. Eiffel 65's "Blue" is the 90s' Tarzan Boy, complete with cheesiest video ever.

And come on - EVERYBODY knows Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen.

It's true. I always sing Ob-la-di! Hahahahahaha! I'm just not that big of a fan of The Offspring, and really the best thing about them is the Weird Al Pretty Fly For A Rabbi parody.

I missed Everybody's Free on the list entirely, but yes, everyone knows that song.

Good lord, 1999 was horrible. Except for "Got Your Money", which kicks much ass and features one of my favorite all-time lines in a song. Which I'm not going to post because this is a family blog.

I will be spending Saturday singing the songs you don't think you recognize, just to be totally annoying. Especially "Summer Girls".
