256: Hopes
Hope is something that not a lot of people can do without. If there was no hope, there’d be no reason to try. If there was no hope, there’d be no reason to strive for anything, no reason to even wake up in the morning.
If there’s a hope I have, it’s the one I’ve had for this past year, that I can be accepted as a Titan. It’s the hope that Robin will look at me and know he’s got someone who can and will watch his back no matter what, instead of a loose cannon just as dangerous as the people she’s pointed at. It’s the hope that Wonder Girl will look at me and see, at the very least, a fellow Titan and not simply the daughter of the Titans’ most implacable enemy, not simply a dangerous, conniving, malevolent witch out to take away and corrupt everything she holds dear. It’s the hope that Eddie will look at me and not see an untouchable battle goddess, but a girl who simply wants to touch him.
Yeah, I hope for a lot of impossible things, don’t I? But maybe they’re not so impossible.
