I've had this piece of headcanon floating around in my head ever since I saw the most recent Nyotalia sketch of the Axis and went "Hey, isn't that butterfly similar to the violet one that was close to her in an earlier sketch? Maybe it's not such a random one," and this kink meme prompt was the perfect excuse to put it down in words. :)

This was beautifully done, and I love all the symbolism you used here to make it both really thoughtful and melancholic. And as I've mentioned in the earlier comments, I usually don't prefer fem!Giripan, but I really love how you wrote them here.

And again:

It was something that the old Japan would never have done, refusing to admit that she was either capable of doing something so improper or vulnerable to love and having her heart broken, but the new Japan had enough experience with denying her true feelings about who she wanted to be to try doing the opposite of it.

I still love this two parts very, very much.

Oh, how beautiful! This is the first time I've read either fem!Japan or fem!Greece and their characterizations are so vivid, I'm sure they'll go right into my headcanon. You have such a way with symbolism, I also adore the atmosphere.
