I just realized that someday, thanks to inflation, bananas will cost ten dollars, and the arrested development joke will no longer be a joke. :-( I'm sad for a future that cannot appreciate the humor in that joke.

Matt and I had a miscommunication about what time we had to leave the WWII museum. I thought we would leave at 4 and he thought 3:45.

We are not good at doing museums quickly. We spent hours in the pacific theater, and time well spent, but then it was already about 3:15 when we started looking at the European theater.

9am at APS and I've attended Lisa Manning's invited talk. My Fitbit just now registered 10k steps today.

I made it to New Orleans! APS march meeting here all week. My talk will be Thursday.

Tonight my phone is suddenly acting weird. As if it is misinterpreting how I touch the screen. I'm send strange behavior in the home screen and multiple apps. I've never had this problem before and I don't want an issue while I'm traveling. The conference doesn't ( Read more... )

Matt is home! We played the board game Between Two Cities at Kristen's and we came home.

The snow plows work all night but I should maybe reconsider my habit this week of driving home at odd hours in the middle of a blizzard.

I'm not sure this is considered a blizzard here. Maybe it's just called December. I've never lived in such a snowy place. It snowed here in October!
