Revisions and distractions

I took the advice offered and took about a week's break, but I went ahead and did the easiest of the major revisions (changing a character's gender) during some downtime at work. Don't go without a solid plan for how to spend your time. If it boils down to "the stuff I'd do at home, but in England", don't do it.

$2000 might be what you would spend on room and board, but probably not; my entire family (two adults, one child) spent that much for a week last February in London, so I'd be surprised if one person in Oxford weren't (significantly) cheaper.

But February would be bound to be cheaper right? Since it's an off season?

A bit of good news for me at any rate. My friend found out that the resident part of the class is already full so we may end up sharing, which would split the cost.

Still not sure what I would do in the morning while she's gone, but I'm sure there's plenty to do. Only thing is, I don't want to do it all by myself. I'm sure my friend will want to do some touristy things once she gets out of class.

We'll see.
