So, you all presumable remember my "OMG my hair has lost four inches and I've had the same cut and colour for my entire life" freakout. I went down with a friend to Dunedin this week and somehow ended up dying my hair. The box told me I'd go this lovely bright ginger-ish red (or, to be more precise, my colour would be "lit with shimmering amber

Hey, its roughly the same colour as I used to dye mine. Way more drastic than you were planning but it looks great.

Thanks very much! Did you have any trouble with the colour fading? I have enough of the red left to do another full head of hair, but I'm hoping it'll fade at the same rate as the underlying dye.

And yeah, it's a LOT more red than I'd planned, but apparently ginger/strawberry blonde hair dye doesn't exist in any form here, and I was scared the red dye I used over it would turn pink on my blonde hair.
