I know I complain a lot. I really do. It's unfortunate. But I'm only comfortable at a temperature about five degrees hotter than everyone else. So when winter comes around I get a bit miserable when I can't put the heat up any further because the cost of heating has gone up and everyone else is perfectly comfortable, never mind the fact that I have a thermal and a farmers jumper and gloves and a tea cosy on my head and a fluffy blanket wrapped around me and I'm still cold.
But perspective is good. In two weeks I'm going down to Dunedin for my grandmothers 90th (she's so awesome). Dunedin is cold. It's getting down to 1-2 degrees here at night, but they're getting into the negatives down there, plus they don't have the tropical heat to combat the chill during the day. Suddenly my multiple layers seem much better, if only for the fact that whilst I still need to wear them, at least I can't see my breath in a heated room.
I'm working late tonight. I had this whole big plan of an hour by hour breakdown of what I was going to do today. I almost got it done, and I could actually leave rebinding the coat until tomorrow, but I wrote that I was going to finish it today in the GOALS section of my book, and frak it, I'm going to finish it.
However I'm a bit burnt out and my back hurts, so I'm taking a half hour off before I get stuck into the coat. Tomorrow I'm making two shirts. Shouldn't take too long.
BSDLKFJ. Just realised I don't have enough cord in my supplies to do any more work tonight. Bleeding hell. Bed for me then. I'll go to the store first thing in the morning and get what I was supposed to finish tonight done before lunch.
