I thought some of you might get a kick out of this.
Last month, I was told by my mechanic that my car was well on the way out, and that I'd have to start looking for a new one. Man, did that news ever depress me, but I guess it can't be helped as my old Corona does suffer from more than it's fair share of break downs :(
However, this got me thinking. If my car only had another month or so left in it anyway, then surely it won't matter to anyone if I modify it slightly before I send it to the scrap heap?
Well, that thought inspired this:
That's right, I painted my dash board bright purple and added a coat of glitter, just for good measure. But this alone wasn't enough.
You see, when my car was stolen in November, the glove box was broken. It can no longer be closed shut, with the lock completely snapped off. One day, my friend Carly and I were driving around when she suggested that I convert my open glove box into a diorama....so I did.
Carly is truly a genius.
I came up with a story to go along with this diorama of mine as well. which I'm just going to copy/paste for you here:
"So, I'm sure everyone here remembers that one famous scene from Harry Potter where Harry and his friends were transported back through time by a magical yellow duck, only to find that Voldemort was also there and had aligned himself with a small group of ferocious dinosaur followers? Man, that was an emotional chapter."
