La vie en Rose

*waves* Hallo everyone :) I have been extra quiet this summer ;) It's amazing how much of fandom you miss when you're mostly afk! I hope you've all had fantastic summers. I'm going to be much more around again now that school is starting and I'll be plunked in front of the computer for many more hours a week than is strictly healthy ;) I've ( Read more... )

I've missed you! I was hardly around myself with Summer classes from that place that you go in a handbasket, but it's so good to see you back on LJ.

I'm all gleeful about your grad program starting - I think you'll enjoy it. In that way that only we masochists can. Heh. I started a SSHRC application once, but I received a bunch of fellowships from the university and didn't complete mine. It was rough! Good luck with the scholarship; I will cross all crossables for you.

And congratulations on the TA jobs; I have fond memories of that kind of gig. Even with the office hours where students came in to complain to me. I think you're going to have a fabulous new term!!

Thanks *hugs* Missed you too! I feel so out of touch right now. I'm mostly excited and a little frightened of MA-land, especially as my first class of the year is all Derrida all the time. Me? Not a fan of Derrida, but he's big in my department and I was... shall we say "encouraged"? to take the class by the department head ;)

What's your autumn looking like? Back to school once more?

Massive amounts of good luck for starting classes again. It sounds like you'll be pretty busy, but it also sounds really exciting. :)

When the start of the school year comes around, I always remember going back to school after the summer, and actually forgetting how to write. Or spell. Sounds so ridiculous now. Hee!

Thank you! *g* It's busy but it's good-busy instead of brain-cell-killing busy, so I'm happy ;)

LOL I was like that with math. "Wait, what? Non-linear what? No, no, no, go back over what X means again, plz."
