There is something faintly Hogarthian about eating a wine gun with 'gin' stamped on it.

I spent much of my childhood convinced that you actually could get drunk on Wine Gums. They don't seem to taste half as complicated these days as they did.

Maybe like Smarties they've removed the artificial flavours. I'm so disappointed in Smarties these days. I wonder where they got the idea for Wine Gums from. I sense a good Wikipedia-ing coming on.

I'm just bemused that you've managed to get to the age of 25 without realising that wine gums all have wine names on them... I fear you've led a Very Sheltered Life.

I was unfortunately deprived of wine gums growing up. It was a terrible deficiency.
