Personality: One of the more clear aspects of Lily’s personality is how fiery she is. It may seem stereotypical but her fiery hair really does send off a signal about how she acts. She speaks her mind with ease and does not stand for any form of bullying or belittling of others no matter who it is against. This can really be shown when she stood up for Snape so many times when James and his friends picked on him but the moment her close friend turned on her, she cut all ties. She couldn’t be friends with someone who called her a ‘Mudblood’ or was involved in the dark arts. She has a sharp tongue and in an argument can easily fight her corner and if she has an ill opinion of someone it is never likely to disappear. Her morals are very specific and she believes in doing what’s good at all costs.
Despite these aspects of her personality, Lily really is kind and loving. She can see the good in others even when they can not see it themselves and she will try her best to bring that out. She is a very talented witch and very smart, doing her best in whatever she can. She is very popular which could probably be down to her friendliness and sweetness and her willingness to try and make people realise their good side. She is exceptionally charming, which perhaps also helps make her so popular, and has a fair amount of wit. Of course her charm can come in another form. Flirtation comes rather easy with Lily when it comes to James and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
She is very welcoming of people and does her best to make them feel comfortable and happy, which has really brought her a lot of friends over the years. As Head Girl, she was responsible for assisting the Professor’s in any sort of discipline by patrolling corridors but she did not use her position just to do that. Her willingness to help others really does strongly show just how much she cares about others.
Another well noticed part of her personality is her determination. Lily knows what she wants and sticks to it, and it takes a lot for her to change her mind. She is also determined in terms of her learning. She got involved at school, and now the Order, and is very skilled at charm work as well. During her years at Hogwarts she was loved by her teachers partly because of how much she focused and enjoyed her studies and because of her politeness and willingness to help others in her class. She is exceptionally brave and is willing to sacrifice a lot for the greater good.
Powers, Skills, and Abilities: Lily is a very accomplished witch. She shows a lot of power with potions and charms, and is able to do the patronus charm with ease. Her abilities at deulling are excellent and she also has an exceptional amount of control over her magic and even had this before she attended Hogwarts.

[A beat as she fights back tears, taking in finally what has happened] James is dead and I am all Harry has...Please just let me go back to him.

Third Person:
Patrols weren't as awful as they were in the beginning of the year now that things were slightly better between them both. James may still be an annoying prat a lot of the time but she didn't seem to mind as much as she use to. He just didn't bug her as much. They had been walking for a good half hour, by now going down a random corridor filled with classrooms, mostly unused, but that normally meant a magnet for students. She had her wand slipped into the waistband of her skirt, ready to be pulled out if there were any problems, but she didn't anticipate it.
It was strange how she managed to walk in silence with James without it seeming a little odd. They just seemed content together like this and she had a feeling she knew why this was happening. Despite her many years trying to avoid anything happening between them she had begun to fall for him, and rather fast at that. She hadn't admitted it to him, she didn't want to not yet. But she also had a feeling she didn't have to tell him. He probably knew already.
Glancing over at him, she took him in before shaking her head and moving to open a door to a cupboard. They were often as occupied as classrooms after all.
