Is there a more honorable way for a warrior to die? I think not. In any case, I was too much of a galvanizing force. They would not have accepted my resignation.

I am clearly only fit to lead in battle. I trust that Relena Peacecraft has care of the world now.
Lady Une, Millardo Peacecraft, and the Gundam pilots are not listed among the dead. May they, too, depart when they are ready.
Without conflict, there cannot be revolution. Without revolution, there cannot be progress. Eventually, the winners of a battle will decline in power, and out of their ranks new leaders will be cultivated.
Is this idealism born in space? Celestial Being, your intentions are pure, yet your actions are born out of ignorance. Ignorance both of tradition, and of human nature. And if you win your war, what will you do? Step aside, or set up yourself as dictator? My great personal respect for Aeolia Schenberg aside, the latter is the conclusion most easily reached.
