Dark Shadows movie!?

Must be destiny, as I was just talking about this show last week. They announced at comic con that a Dark Shadows movie will be made and that Johnny Depp will be playing Barnabas Collins. I think he is perfect for the role. Now they just need to make sure they include Quentin and Angelique (how can they NOT?) and i will be happy

Geez, over 1,000 episodes!? Is it safe to say that this series will end up on your Christmas list?

um YES! ive wanted to own them forever but just never got around to buying them.

I remember seeing a couple episodes when I was a kid, but I never really watched seriously. You should totally own them all, move up here to Baltimore, and let me watch 'em! = P

Also, is it wrong to dislike Johnny Depp on principle? I feel like he always just plays Johnny Depp playing the character he's supposed to be playing. He's very similar to Jack Nicholson in that regard; both are talented actors who have become bigger personalities themselves than the roles they play.

I have the 90's series with Ben Cross as Barnabas, but never got around to getting the original series. I wish Scifi would show it again.

I love Dark Shadows. I was disappointed when the show in 2004 never got picked up.
The there are over 25 sets of dark shadows... but that only includes the episodes with Barnabas. They are going back and doing sets of the stuff before Barnabas.
