(well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one out there who feels this way. especially when I see so many other people update their journals so very often (almost daily). and I don't think you sound like a dunce/are boring at all! far from it; from reading your entries, I think you're a quite an interesting and sophisticated person. And I don't mean that to be pretentious at all.)

oh, and I hope you don't mind this little stranger/lurker so abruptly friending you. X3;; but, nevertheless, i'm very grateful for you returning the friending. it means a lot, truly! :D

Welcome! I think LJ is very therapeutic; I think people should post more, no matter what the content. At the very least it will let you laugh.

(I know! And they all seem to have something so awesomely snarky and neat to say. I just can't keep up. Also, I am? *boggled* Wow. I always think I'm so bloody pedestrian when I put up something. Coolness.)

dude... wasting time is what Livejournal is for. Find your inner LJ-brat. Post random 2 line entries. Do memes. It doesn't have to be an essay every post, it doesn't have to be anything of worth to anyone but yourself. It's for whatever you want it to be for. ;)

I say bring on the spam, teenage angst, and random shit. If someone is offended or annoyed then why do they have you on their flist? Don't worry about other people, too much, just say what ever comes to mind, what ever interests you.

*hugs* Don't feel pathetic about not knowing to write about yourself/your life. There are spans of time where I don't know what to write about, but I start typing that I have nothing to say and as I go something comes to mind. It' might not be the most fascinating entry, but it's something I probably wouldn't have remembered I wanted to share if other thoughts were in my head. There are other times where I'll just not write anything for weeks because I'm just damned lazy, even if something happened that I feel like sharing.

It's your journal, use it how you want to. If the people on your f-list don't like that, well screw 'em. *shrugs* This entry was not an "utter, utter waste of time" so don't think it was. *hugs and leaves brownies*

and I love when I see spamming anywhere on my F-list and entries, so don't feel that everyone is anti-spam.
