voice; accidentally turned on by a hit to the device

Stop-- let me OUT!-- [ And there's a sound of a gasp and some small objects falling over onto the ground, and then the sounds of a chair being pushed back. Some heavy breathing can be heard until it calms down, and something inaudible and murmured-- she'd dozed off at her desk and of course. ( Read more... )

I haven't caught you there since they started fixing it up. If you'll be there, then I suppose I'll have one more stop to make after work.

Though you'll have to pick a flavour. Caramel, Strawberry or Pineapple?

I'd've been 'round more if I knew you were gonna be. It ain't like I've been up to no good.

...caramel. What for?

You'll see! Why don't we meet up before that and we can head to the shop together instead? Then I can show you why I asked.

...though I hope you haven't eaten yet.

Anticipation's a killer.

I haven't. Where should I meet ya?

You won't be sorry. How about in front of Xanadu? I'll be there shortly after stopping to visit a friend of mine.

I'll be there.

[Will be leaning against a tree, contemplating the sky till she gets there.]

[ And as promised, she isn't long before she arrives too. She didn't have time to pull her hair down from work just yet, but she did stop by Hymns of Lorelei for a little something, that she now has in a nice gift delivery bag. When she sees Shinji, she waves to him, running over and pausing a short distance away from him. ]

Sorry for making you wait! Seems like the entire City is out for coffee today.

[ He grins when he sees her and walks forward to meet her halfway. He isn't surprised when he sees a bag - looks like takeout. ]

Waitin' on you ain't a problem for me. And it seems like there're a lotta people tryin' to stay awake.

[ Chuckling, she holds out the bag to him. ]

Would you mind holding this for a moment?

[ When he takes it, and her hands are freed, she moves them back to release her hair from its ties. While part of it is work protocol, the other reason is not overusing her abilities on any of her patients. She only undoes her hair for difficult cases, though now that she's off-duty, she has no worries-- and shaking her head, she grins up at him, holding her hand out to take the bag back ]

There. Goodness, whoever said ladies look better with long hair clearly never managed long hair themselves.

[ He notices her power levels shifting as her hair is undone and figures it works like a medium - has a sealed state just as any zanpakutou would. Her powers still bore strange similarities to those of... ]

...I'm sure there're some that have.

[ He's already slung the bag over his shoulder and grins at her, shaking his head slightly as he begins to walk in the direction of the shop. ]

I got it. How's your day been? You sounded a little stressed!

Oh? Well I suppose I can't really generalize.

[ Smiling wryly with a shake of her head, she moves her hands behind her back to walk next to him. While she isn't shielding her magical signature (she sees no reason to hide it here like she would in her own world), she's careful about how much of it is revealed so people won't gauge her abilities. ]

Well, be careful, I wouldn't want it spilling over you.

[ At his question, she blinks-- but then shrugs slightly. ]

Aside from sedating over-caffeinated people and trying to keep others safely awake, it's been like any other day really. I wouldn't be a good healer if I didn't worry for my patients, right? Were you alright all this time, Shinji?

[ Considering how long his hair used to be and how he likes long hair on ladies despite it... well, he's not going to say anything, about that or her powers. He glances at her then over his shoulder. ]

Spill? Though I s'pose you still ain't going to tell me what's in there.

[ He processes what she says about people trying to stay awake. He doesn't blame all those trying, though he's not cursed and doesn't think he'd be able to tell the difference if he was. Thinking about the worst was just another part of the daily grind he'd learned to savor, for fun if not only to keep himself sane. It came in handy, times like this. ]

Just fine, Megumi-chan, thanks for askin'. Haven't seen too many people keelin' over but I bet there'll be a bout of people snaggin' z's all over the place when this curse's over.

Not until we get to the shop. They're better savoured in good company, after all.

[ And at that, she can't help but chuckle. ]

Or spending hours in the bathroom. Though I guess either option would be a welcome one to having nightmares...

[ She trails off for a bit, her own flashing through her thoughts, but her expression never falters. And then she looks up ahead of her again. ]

I guess you're one of the luckier ones, huh.

[ Internally urks at the thought of a smug Kisuke and a grouchy, overworked Ichigo's company but sure, if she says so. It's gotta be better than dealing with people on caffeine- and sugar-highs, depressed or acting like the living dead. After he catches her pause, he looks forward too. They're getting close to the shop. ]

Guess you could say that. You, though... I ain't exactly a mind-reader. Wanna talk about it?
