[ Being level-headed is the only reason that creature has remained under as much control as she has at all. Thankfully, with Cain's help, she's recovered enough to at least have her bones setting back in place.

[ Groaning a little, and cursing under her breath-- she then continues. ]

[ He pauses a moment. Trying to free her friends in the state she's in is a foolish idea - though there's enough of her energy keeping steady for him to sense, it's weak. ]

[ And of course, she's going to stay in there, letting herself heal, because really, bones setting back in place is kind of a painful process and she's lucky this time they didn't break all the way.

...she's sure she can hear the guards in the distant cells, and she's just waiting for them to open the doors... ]

[ The closer he gets to the prison, the more he notices these Gestapo Units starting things with seemingly random people 'round town. Where the Deities managed to recruit so many horrorshow rejects, he can't figure, but they look rather threatening compared to the usual population. He can even measure their brutality in proportion to how hard and well the people they're trying to capture are resisting, too. Some aren't what he'd call weak for humans, either.

Well, so long as they're managing to stay their ground, there's no need for him to interfere with anything going on down below. People on the island will remain priority... especially since there've been rumors going around about things getting worse for them. Shinji's already imagined what the hell the people who started those rumors might've meant by that and it's not a pretty picture in the least.

It shouldn't matter. It doesn't, not really. Like in the living world that he's used to, people die. It's a natural cycle, even if it happens by unnatural means. It's not like some

[ He's out of sight while he flash-steps from overhead. Even on the unlikely chance that their eyes can keep up with his speed, unless the Gestapo are capable of flying or catapulting themselves to his level, he doubts he's going to be derailed. It's doubtful he won't be able to handle it if they can, but the longer he can get by without calling attention to himself, the easier it'll be to get out if he ends saddled with escorting several injured people

[ she's a little more than grateful that she's in a much better state than she had been when they'd first brought her here. It had been just a little unpleasant to have been attacked while coming home from work, and more than unexpected

[ Even if we resist, it'll mean nothing... they're going to do something terrible and we'll have to suffer for it. Just like every other time. She thinks to herself, and at a particularly difficult snap of bone against bone, she jolts in place, biting down on her lower lip to keep from screaming.

Cain had managed to at the very least get her into a condition to move, but he was in no state to be exerting himself either. The bruising under her skin and the internal bleeding has been stopped and restrained thanks to him and that worked enough to make her stop focusing on the pain, and focus on getting some fixing one, but the signs of her abuse showed in the appearance of her clothing, which was now no longer the light colour it had been, but splashed with dark red. Slowly fading but still obvious with the burns and tears-- by the time Shinji would see her, she'd be in a state to move at least

[ That gets a crooked grin out of him. Her condition seems a little better than it was over the network but there's still blood all over the floor, never mind her dress. ]

[ He's also pretty pathetic in terms of healing techniques and the lot, especially considering most the damage seems internal at this point. He figures she'll ask if there's anything he can do to be of help. In the meanwhile, he's going to pretend he's being useful. By sitting there and watching her. Like this. ]

[ It's useful enough, she decides, when she needs to reach out and grab a hold of something and the nearest thing is either the wall or his hand. She knows if she misses, he'll grab her instead-- and that's hardly going to be a problem, especially when she's not going to be getting blood all over him now that it's 'burning' off her. She does struggle a bit as she moves her hand behind her, but at his comment, she tosses him a small smile. ]

I think I'm good enough to move. There's a lot of water in the air around us--

[ Inhaling sharply as she tries to push herself to her feet, she glances toward the interior of the cell. She's looking better by the minute, probably because of the water that she's mentioned, but she knows he'll be able to tell that her powers are at a very raw and fluctuating stage at this moment. ]

There are four other inmates on this level, and on the level below this. It'll be hard for them to escape without help.
