[ When the feed comes on, she's sitting at her desk, writing in what looks like a reasonably thick diary. With a sigh, she ends whatever she has written, and slowly closes the book from the back. It seems she got all the way to the end of it. Slipping it into a diary case, she sets it on a stack out of the line of the feed's

Rather... I need you to keep it away from me. Unfortunately I know if I give it to any of my friends, they might give in and hand it to me at my request.

Poor Shinji, she has to think, as she hugs the diaries to her chest, looking out at the ocean again. It's always quiet here, and she prefers it that way. She almost feels guilty for asking him of all people, but--

[ The trade hasn't been done yet, but she's still looking a lot more peaceful than she has in a while. Turning to look at him, she meets his gaze and then chuckles, a hint of a sheepish expression on her face, but then she she shakes her head to smile at him. ]

[ As for why he "puts up with" her, need he say anything? She's a healer, and they're useful - when aren't they? She's friendly. Easy on the eyes. Most of all, she's kind, and he likes that in a girl best.
Still, that's a lot to bother explaining, and since when has he ever... ]
... 'Cause you're my first love.

And maybe then, she won't have to carry the burdens the way she did this last year. ]
