i want to change my major. i suck at music. my horn professor doesn't even give me a chance to show him that i HAVE practiced, or even help me. he just said that he heard i was stressed out and so that i means i didnt practice (which is true) and so that means i cant have a lesson. he didnt even listen. i came home and just cried

Hey hun- I know how you feel. I was tempted to drop music, too. I ended up doing music with an outside field in technical theater (so I get 2 degrees in one shot). I started as music ed. I know it's hard. It's damned near impossible to deal with the bull. Just bypass the pretentious assholes (because there's plenty of them in any music dept), and as for your lesson teacher- don't let him even see your emotions. Put any anger he's causing into your playing. Show him he's wrong, and that he's underestimated you. Make it a challenge, and try to guarentee he'll lose. Don't let on to anyone that could tell your prof that you're stressed.
