My bright spot.

I hate to say anything in case I jinx it, but one bright spot in my life lately has been my hockey boys. They're finally clicking and have come back from the Christmas break as a solidified team. Luongo has found his rhythm and is a real part of the team. Everyone except Rory Fitzpatrick has at least one goal, which is funny only if you've been ( Read more... )

You would make a comment about last night's game ;) Sadly, I fell asleep before the start of the 3rd period and missed the shootout. Is it bittersweet when one of my favorite Canucks wins it for Vancouver in the shootout?

Ooops. :x I honestly forgot they're your team. Lol. They sure fought hard, and Turco is a hell of a goalie. We were on the edge of our seat for the shootout! But yes, we shall call it bittersweet. ;)

You guys did beat the "best shootout team in the history of the NHL" (according to our announcers--they're really playing it up)

I think what's so great about that picture (aside from Luongo showing some child-fan luv) is the fact that there's literally no one standing around the family! It really shows what kind of fans Vancouver has; they're not all rushing down to the front row to try and snatch the stick away first.

Oh I know! The announcers here were talking about how basically screwed we were going into a shootout. Lol. And then Nazzy was our first shooter and he was SO lame!!! I was worried!!
You know when Luongo was first approached about the trade (which was actually for less money than Florida was offering), he didn't want to come to Vancouver. And the GM said, well, just come, check out the city, see the fans. So he did, and apparently was so impressed with the fanlove you see everywhere, even in the off season, that he came. Gotta say that he's really loved lately. LOL.
Of course, everyone thinks their town is the best hockey town. I know I do. Lol.
