Anis is, first and foremost, a strong heroine type. She's always been on her own, so she's become most adapted to taking care of herself and the people around her. Even when she's feeling down, she would choose to give herself a pep talk rather than wallow in her thoughts alone. She's used to having been passed around in her family, and pity is far from what she wants if or when people find out. In fact, she would prefer that others didn't know so they could avoid the whole thing completely, as she feels about most problems that come up. If people begin to feel badly for her, she wouldn't know how to act around them as she really, really dislikes attracting attention of any sort. Her immediate response is to laugh it off, tell them it's no big deal, and move on.

For being so independent, Anis has quite a few fears lined up behind her. She's afraid of thunder, earthquakes, and fires - but most of all, Anis is terrified of her "papa". Before his arrival she could barely remember his face (he worked around the world so often), and just the thought of him made her uncomfortable, but when he was hired on at her school the fear became much worse. Despite her determination to rebel against him, she still stammers and shakes when his name comes up.

When it comes to intelligence, Anis can be either smart or clueless. Her ideas and solutions are sometimes ridiculous, and it's often difficult to follow her train of thought, but in the most desperate of situations they somehow work like a charm. On the other hand, Anis has a terrible time following along with the more mind numbing subjects such as history - especially when it is pertaining to the Rhode Knights and their past. While she tries to understand, sometimes she feels like she just can't catch up to the others and instead passes the information by. Her favorite excuse is that she'll take the time to figure it out later when the time comes rather than worrying over it now.

Just like anybody else, she can have quite the temper and a short fuse that accompanies it. She doesn't respond well to teasing or being called names, and jumps to lash out with words - and sometimes the thorns if it's her Rhode Knights in question. On the other hand, Anis does not agree with physical abuse either and apologizes immediately if she's hurt another (though, it seems the White and Black rose are not particularly offended by it) unless it's Kaede who, she feels, often deserves it in a friendly manner.

Overall, Anis does her best to be a trusted and loved friend. She stands up for her beliefs as anybody would, and once she's comfortable with people she's clearly more open about her feelings with and around them.
