I love all the detail we get with this story--the feel of the dust, that everyone works nights, the cat-pride and way Ramil's rude without meaning to be.

Thank you. ^_^ Ramil is, to Hausch's pov, a rather large and over-exuberant puppy who's full grown but hasn't learned not to knock things over with a wagging tail and track mud into the house yet. The fact that they look roughly the same age and both privately think of the other one as "boy" is sort of cracking me up.

[flails] *I* don't know enough of this story to tell you what's going on! And 90% of what I've written is all about Hausch, who's only one third of the equation of stuff that's going on. Argh. x_x

(As I was writing this I had the distinct feeling that Ramil may have a bona fide crush on Hausch... alas, Hausch is so out of touch with his own sexuality Ramil probably could've licked his foot and Hausch would have just been "ew, stop it!" instead of getting with the program.)

There is another entire plotline with Hausch's twin brother in the past and then ANOTHER plotline with their mother in the waaaay distant past (oh hai, time travel gone really damned wrong) that somehow all winds up into a ball with Hausch in the future. I just haven't figure it all out yet. =P

(I think it was totally a crush. Given that Ramil's sister Shirin had to beat Hausch over the head with "what does it take for me to marry you, stupid?" before he got a clue that she was even interested, I think Ramil would have had to jump Hausch in the shower before he ever even twinged that the poor guy was interested. Oh hai, semi-religious-order pseudo-priest with extreme case of obliviousness!)
