Beautiful imagery. I felt like I was there. I particularly enjoyed the description of the "too-thin ridges of the boy's back"... a wealth of meaning is conveyed in the plaintiveness of your phrases. I enjoyed this narrative very much, and I felt that it was masterfully written. Thank you for sharing.

Daaaaaw. Boys. I feel all warm and squishy inside now.

I will admit the part where Mattias said the house settling sounded like guns made my heart break a little bit. D: OH BABY. Vasz will fix it. He fixes everything. :D

They are total warm and squishy woobs! =D

(and if Vasz can't fix it then just you wait until your other papa gets on the scene. One Big Squishy Puppy Pile.)

^___^

I'm reaching implosion levels of needing to Nest, partially because my nest is a DISASTER. Nanowrimo + cleaning = FAIL. Cleaning was the part that gave. x_x

I apparently have the maternal instincts of another species - all I really want is a kitten. Baby humans I'm afraid I simply do not understand (either in their entirety, or the appeal of same.)

Sad and sweet, hope out of fear. Well done. I particularly love the part where he is singing to the boy. Good job -- good luck!
