So, Dani wants to design her own Shakespeare major. Maybe it could be "Renaissance Literature and Drama?" I dunno... I spent all of last night hopping between my copy of the Complete Works and my copy of Harold Bloom's "Shakespeare: Invention of Human," and it occurred to me that that's really all I want to study ever.

I'd say that's a good idea, but understand that there's a great deal out there in Renaissance Lit and Drama besides Shakespeare - and much of it is highly interesting. Also, this is your undergrad major. Don't limit yourself too much. That's what grad-school is for.

Still, that said, I think this is a great way to go. I'm excited about all of the really neat things you'll uncover with that major - not just English works but French, Italian, Spanish, and German works as well. Good luck with that! :)

Oh, wow. I hadn't even thought about works in other languages! Now I'm very excited about this idea... And in response to your other comment, I had no idea you worked at Agnes Scott! I would be eternally grateful for a recommendation.
