Dish soap and scrub sponge. At some point, you WILL cook something, either in the dorm's kitchen, or someone's microwave or whatever, and I can tell you: It's damn sad trying to do even the most minimalist dishes with your wash cloth and shampoo.....

QUARTERS FOR LAUNDRY. Also fabric softener and detergent.

*a small electric fan (which I think I still have and can pass on to you) and an extra blanket. Your climate control is usually at the mercy of Housing's opinion of when summer and winter begin

*shower caddy - bundling soap and whatnot into a towel only works until said towel is wrapped about your head post-shower

*white Christmas lights - florescent light gets old fast
