Thanks. I think this may be the sweetest thing I've ever written in this fandom.

*Draws hearts all over this fic* I've been following it since the beginning on the meme, and I've loved every bit of it =)

Thank you :) It's been fun to write something serial again and have people following along.

I was going to gush at the kink meme but then I saw you'd reposted and figured I'd just come over here and do it, because I do not need to make any secret of my mad crazy love for this fic. :D It's been an absolute delight all along. The cast and the setting are both wonderfully fleshed out, (also, I'm a linguist, so was ridiculously gleeful about their field,) and there are so many lovely random details, the story about Arthur & Morgana's family and Merlin's Doctor Who stuff and Lance and everything. It's funny and sweet and Arthur & Merlin are just too adorable for words.

I'm also really impressed with how, even though Merlin's diabetes was obviously an important part of the fic, it didn't read like A Very Special Episode About Diabetes, if that makes sense. It was a relevant part of Merlin's life, but just that - part of his life, alongside all the other parts of his life. Which made it all feel very real. So massive kudos on that! And on everything, really, because this fic is just awesome. One of the most happy-making ( ... )

I'm honest enough to admit that my first reaction on seeing this prompt was to wince. I could imagine so many ways in which it could be handled badly, so I jumped on the prompt as fast as I could. I've been diabetic since I was a toddler, and I've plundered my own life shamelessly for incidents for this. It does underlie everything else you do, of course, but it doesn't control your life, and as I went along I was more and more determined to tell a fun story where the protagonist just happens to be diabetic, because we don't really ever get that.

*chuckles* They're linguists because I stole the office layout from the silliest temp job I ever had, which happened to be at language exam board. I did fall in love with the idea of French teacher!Leon, though, so I may have to recycle that at some point.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It kept me smiling while I was writing it.

I liked this so very much. I love how Merlin goes from dsliking/avoiding Arthur to actually falling for his charm. And your Arthur and his protective, attenive behaviour is quite precious. I love the surrounding cast as well: Morgana, Freya, Gwen and Will. Very sweet and lovely and put a smile on my face (and now I want chips but that's another story.)

Thank you. I wanted to play with the conflict between Arthur's instinct to rescue people and Merlin's need to be in control of his own life, and the whole thing just grew out from there. I'm glad it made you smile - it cheered me up as I was writing it, too :)

I tracked this from the very first comment and I am SO HAPPY to see this re-posted! There is absolutely nothing about this I do not love. So sweet and wonderful and heart-clutchingly lovely. And, on a personal note, it made me ridiculously happy to see a realistic portrayal of diabetes (and even more, Arthur with his swooping in, interfering and general overprotectiveness) because several of my friends and immediate family have diabetes so it all felt very familiar :D

This has put the biggest most ridiculous smile on my face! I love teacher!Merlin and the supporting characters were adorable and charming and fabulous! I absolutely adore this!

:) I jumped on this prompt as soon as I saw it. I couldn't bear the thought of seeing it done wrong - I'm diabetic myself and we don't show up in fiction that often. I wanted to get this right.

It made me smile as I was writing it :) I was quite disgruntled when I sat down on the bus this morning and realised I didn't have the next chapter to think about. I glad it entertained you :)
