I can understand wanting something more relaxed right after Valentine, though :-)

I write postcards to my niece - she's at the age where getting mail from all over the world is really cool, so I must oblige :-)

In the event that something requires paper correspondence, I typically write letters. There's more room to write, and stationery is fun.

I write letters to my grandmother and friends who live very far away, and I also (like many other people) write postcards to people who ask for them when I go somewhere interesting.
