Glad you're done & happy about it! I look forward to seeing this movie of yours.

I won't be in Norman, but can I make mischief anyway?

AOTD#271: I wouldn't.

To fix the system, you have to change the system. Remove the noise, and make change more accessible. In governmental terms, you must reduce drag and special interest, and allow individuals who have good ideas move forward.

Reduce the size the House of Representatives by 50%. Make all campaign money equal across the board, and payable from public funds only. No private contributions at all. Allow "ranked" voting to allow for multiple interests to come to the table and be chosen in order of preference, not 2 controlling parties. Alter legislative laws to remove any and all pork spending, and separate bills into specific goals - No lumping. Create brutal and punishing legal divides that separate religion and business from government and the legal system.

So if John Malkovich is so shy...how the heck does he play all these twisted evil characters? :-)

Dude...you're a dead ringer for Stephen Colbert. But I bet you get that all the time, out there...

Will keep an eye out for you as I browse the networks. :-)

I am woefully ignorant when it comes to politics and world affairs compared to most of my friends. Every time I feel I have a good opinion on something I spot some really good articles or BLOGS that send me crawling back into my shell.

That being stated, I would overhaul things like the voting system, the educational system, & the amount of pay for teachers, police officers, paramedics and firefighters. Those (plus the environment, a logical end to the war, more money for the arts, etc) are my personal soapboxes which I approach quietly from the side rather than yelling, complaining and arguing about.

I have always considered myself an optimist and while I am not the best person when it comes to speaking on these things, I do read, research, question and get involved as often as I can. I do believe the world can always be a better place in many ways and that it is possible to get there. And, I shall always try and do my part rather than stand by and wait for the other person to change it for me.
