My niece, after waiting and waiting for years, will finally be a big sister just before her eighth birthday this October.

My sister's work has had one baby shower for her, but that was a bit of a bust. I've been working on some things for her. Starting with a trash can that she can use as a diaper pail, I made two dozen all-in-one diapers for her ( Read more... )

Thank you!

We got the green to match the alligators in the print, and the bright blue to match the elephants.

We also bought some plain tshirt fabric in the bright blue just as we did with the bright green so that we can make more little things for Christmas.

My youngest is the only baby I ever diapered that gets a rash from the ordinary sort of disposable diapers. We had to buy the most expensive sensitive-skin/cotton/organics, or she had to wear cotton diapers.

I've done cotton in the past, but all of a sudden it was nearly impossible to find the smallest size of rubber/vinyl pants, so I ended up making most of the diapers she wore.

My sister hangs out with a crunchy crowd, and I knew she admired my diapers, so hopefully this will be good for her.
