Queries and Burn Out

I'm not actually burnt out on my queries and my quest for the perfect agent. I am, however, burning low on my day job. I know it's the fantasy of all aspiring writers to be able to quit their job the moment their book is sold, but I know that is not case, especially with the first book. FIVE?! CONGRATULATIONS!!! You really are on your way, it's going to happen! ^_^

I try to treasure the drone work because like you say, that's the time the ideas come. I think it's a bit of a defense mechanism against boredom ;) In some ways it's nice to be a captive audience to the process whereas if I'm brainstorming at home there are so many distractions and brainstorming doesn't necessarily come as naturally.

Thanks so much for your confidence in me! And I used to treasure my drone work because it did leave me free to let my muse whisper in my ear all day but lately the drone work is drowning out the muse and that can't happen! lol I hope having a 3 day weekend will help revive my brain...but we will see.
