A Weekend with the Parental Units

My mom and stepdad were in town this week to finalize the paperwork on the new home they just bought in Dover, Delaware. They currently live in Memphis, Tennessee because my stepdad works for the military. Anyway, they came down to lovely Baltimore on Friday to visit with me until today.

Oh wow, congrats!! You've been BUSY! I've been writing lots of notes and rewriting lots of the first novel but haven't gotten anything new drafted. Reworking the first chapter of Deep Within too--yesterday I spent a few hours on the first paragraph and finally just gave up. Of course, as soon as I got in the shower (with no paper to write notes on!) I ended up brainstorming :P

That's always the way. I usually get ideas when I'm at work or laying in the bed. Now, I'm glad to be done with it, not that i didn't love having the muse waking me up all the time, but I happy to have my summer to read and hang out with my friends.
