Book, Book, and More Books

So far this year I’ve read/listened to 32 books. Last year, my total was 60, which I’m trying to beat this year. Looks like I’m well on my way! WOW! I wish I read that much! I'm sooo picky though (haha and poor...if the library doesn't have it or only has pieces of a series I don't tend to bother). I used to read a ton of books but college killed that, now I read a few a year sadly ): I'm trying to be better about that ( ... )

It seems the older I get, the more I read. I didn't read much as a teen. I was in so many school activities that it hardly left time to read, but I've always loved it. Those stories sound interesting. I am contemplating writing something that's not fantasy, after all, my first two novels are contemporary fiction. Yeah, I definitely think audio books count as reading. I often find myself paying attention to the sentence structure, the dialogue and how the author transistions, much like I would if I was reading it.

I'm the opposite definitely--I devoured books as a teen and while I spent a lot of time doing theatre, I spent every second off-stage reading. Now I'm doing so much I have trouble fitting it in. I have to force myself to read instead of write sometimes because I know it'll improve my writing.

Any brainstorms going on with the non-fantasy?

Nope, not even one idea with the non-fantasy yet. All of my ideas are paranormal.
