[Okay. Iriel had settled in. Somewhat. She was still watching her back, and still walking around armed. And no, she still didn't believe everything she was told about this Keep and its master

Shit happens, and I'd be willing to bet you'll be paranoidly careful a second time around. Come to the party.
[They can stand there and be disdainful of their hosts together. Or something. Kloe seems cool so she's making friends with her whether she likes it or not.]
Besides. Life's too short to pass up opportunities and experiences and shit.
[No. No, not this again. She will not be swayed by people she hardly knows who all seem to have a death wish again. It blew up in her face last time.
Kloe is so close to just closing the journal and throwing it away and punching a wall a few times, but she stops herself. Keep calm and carry on, or something.]
Unfortunately, most of the people here don't share your optimistic attitude. It was made incredibly clear to me that I am unwanted at the party by the majority. I don't take death threats lightly.
I'm not going.
I've already spent three-fourths of my life expectancy missing out on things. Missing a party for a pointless celebration isn't anything significant.
[Anders. Blue and glowy freak. She won't forget that. Iriel could understand people getting pissed about her frolicking about if it was contagious to breath the same air as her, but this was a body fluid thing.
Their behavior was horrific.]
That's bullshit. Look, where are you?
[She wants to say things and this is not a secure network.]

No fuckin' kidding. Anything like this happen before?

[SIGH.]
So, you going to that shindig everyone's been yowling about?
[Yes, she caught some of the drama, but no, she doesn't know the full story.]

Kloe almost doesn't reply, because she just. Doesn't want to think about any of that.]
No. I can't. I'm a safety risk.

[She's curious, and has no problems being blunt.]

That's why.

[So that actually happened? She'd read something about people dying and sickness but...hm. Iriel frowned at her record.]
What kind of contagious is it? Is it airborne or one of those fluid-exchange thingies?

[Don't mind her. She thinks she's being clever.]
Seriously, you're careful usually, yeah?

Yes, I am. I follow strict guidelines to minimize that possibility of infection others as much as possible. They apparently backfired at the party.

Who threatened you, Kloe?
[She wants names, descriptions, and exactly what was said.]
I bet there were just as many people around who wanted you there.

[Gdit Iriel stop trying to convince her stop it.]
