I'm reading Lilith's Brood by Octavia Butler at the moment. Post-apocalypse sci-fi, where a group of aliens have rescued the last humans who survived the giant war, and are working on repopulating the planet. Just finished Mean Streets, a seriously creepy anthology of four novellas. I guess they're in the urban fantasy genre, or maybe "supernatural mystery." I can recommend 3 of the 4 novellas, which ain't bad for an anthology.
