i was really scared!
to reward her i picked at one of the many mats of fur + dirt she has on her back....but i don't think she appreciated it.

Hey. You commented on an off_hotfashion post I made a while back about record players. I'm really considering buying my boyfriend the Crosley model you have. How's that working out for you?

i really like it. i am by no means an audio-phile but i wanted a small player to have in my room instead of having to go downstairs and use the huge stereo system anytime i wanted to listen to a record. my friend has the same one and she likes it too. we've had get-togethers at her place and it's loud enough for that, but it wouldn't be loud enough for a party or for anything you really want to hear loud. other than that i have no complaints. fyi, the hinges at the back aren't like door hinges...they're 2 and 1 - basically, they can detach very easily which can be handy since you can just take off the top altogether, but it's happened before that it's been open and i've kicked the chair it lives on by accident and the top kind of comes off, possibly distrubing/scratching the record you're playing.
