Okay, so how unkosher is it for me to turn in a 20 page research paper when we were assigned 12 pages?
What if I turned in a draft that was clearly at least 16 pages, and the prof told me some stuff that was excessive but also demanded that I include much more than he told me to cut out?

Maybe like 17? I bet you can get it down a bit farther.

I have that problem, too, though: overwriting or underwriting, my papers are never the right length. I guess they say that the content is more important than the length, so they get what they ask for.
