Yes, things could have been a great deal better if they'd take a state when Bill Clinton offered them one four years ago. I don't see how they're going to get nearly all the West Bank, all of the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem now, given that Sharon can't get support for even giving them most of the Gaza Strip. Another people get sold out because their leaders would rather play politics than sort stuff out, all feels rather familiar.

Still, I think Israel's great, so what would I know.

As you watch children reduced to pitiful bloody bundles in their parents arms, being carried to awaiting ambulances or their graves the obligatory deceitful press statements from the prospective governments "We believe we operated within the rules of engagement'' - US officials on the rocket attack of a wedding then "We only fired warning shots towards an unoccupied area" from the Israeli military spokesman. This barbarity committed with such bellicose gusto by us, members of the free world seems so alien to me, so foreign yet the suffering we are endorsing so tangible. I don't see where I fit in the cogs of this war machine Blair, Bush and Sharon so willingly steer to pastures new massacres afresh. Yet more faceless brown people, to wantonly destroy yet more lives and make a mockery of the few noble ethics are
