dlc hiatus thoughts
the (indefinite) hiatus of dlcs for dc3..! needless to say, like most fans i was really bummed out by the news. it seemed like we had just gotten dc3, before dlcs were halted, somehow. so i guess i want to look at something like definitive DC DLCs in retrospect? to celebrate dlc goodness? something like that. so here's are a list of DLCs which i thought were milestones for dc..! not the ones i like, but the ones i thought were groundbreaking in dc history hahaha. i'd add dc1 dlcs too, except i'm wasn't in the dc fandom when they were churning those out TvT;;;
in no particular order:
1.
party rock anthem
mann this was big news for the fandom, and hmx hyped this up, with free codes to download the dlc with every copy of dc2! i guess, the first "big hit" they managed to get the rights to. also, it beat the JD version of the song haha. this song also holds special memories for me ;v; (along with edlynng i'm sure). a tad surprised they gave it to bodie in dc3. not complaining though =v=
2.
SCENARIO!
oh right, emilia's not the main dancer but i already used glitch for another doodle so she's a substitute TvT
the first full-length dlc to be featured in dc (not the first full-length song; i think that title goes to run i'm a natural disaster, though scenario was toted by hmx to be the first full length track). it was the longest track in dc2 i think; the first where you could hit a score of 4 million! plus it had a total of 103 moves- mindblowing!! another groundbreaking feature is that infamous bit where you wriggle your butt at the screen because apparently facing your back to the kinect sensor DEFIES THE LAWS OF KINECTECHNOLOGY!!!!!!11 though, lots of fans found the butt wriggling groundbreaking on its own.

pretty awesome, because marcos aguirre was an original dancer in the music video! plus, he did a great job with the DC routine!
4.
if PRA was the big hit of 2012, gangnam style is its successor. the fact it's a big dance craze makes it pretty relevant to the dc3 story theme. it's a pity hmx just missed out on the song. oh, and i think the DC/JD rivalry was pretty intense with this one. the song's unexpectedly fun. being a devin track it's also super exhausting yet satisfying to dance to! ;v;
aaah i'd draw bodie in his dci agent outfit for this, except i did that already TvT;;
5.
everyone was super hyped up for we no speak americano, especially after watching the preview whoaaaa! the bustle hustle move really is something. a super fun song to dance to, too!

6. call me maybe
the other big hit of 2013. to be honest i-i don't quite like how the routine looks but hey people like it!
7. lights
to quote riffraff, because it has tutting! the beginning of the song is crazy too. i guess with that month (feb 2013)'s dlcs, it seemed like the song choices and choreographers didn't match (like ricardo choreographing this, and chanel working on all round the world), but man it ended up working really well! both the routines ended up looking super ace. plus they had suede stunners and runners UvU//////// haven't gotten this song but i intend to, one day!
oh and i want to link riffraff dancing to it because he does a really good job! *A*b

not too fond of this one, but it did train and prepare me for the numerous songs with spins in dc3! TvT;; with all the spins in this dlc it stays true to its title haha. was wondering if i should put in commander as well because it had the fastest spin in dc2 or something but hey we have a groundbreaking spinning dlc here already =v=;;;
9. give me everything
hahaha this dlc came out around the time everyone discovered the cheat codes for unlocking classic dc outfits! what memories ;v; i guess this one was special because it's the first time a male character got a routine worked on by female choreographer? not to mention, frenchy was pregnant while working on this! respect d*A*;;;
10. hey baby
groundbreaking for that mad flailing. can't gold star this one TvT;;;;
11. i guess the usher dlcs. like the on-disc usher songs, they deserve to be in a difficulty level of their own; the usher level, hey?

always fun working on dare stuff UvU//// i ship both maccoy/dare and oblio/dare eheheh i'd imagine oblio would be an awkward penguin around her since she's vivacious and he's a solitary hermit. still, i think he'd be attracted to her because of her bright personality.

i-i'm considering selling the dc stickers and maybe even prints online because i need money to cover some expenses after graduating but i don't know if anyone be interested;;;;
