I caught up with Smile Precure. It's the first Precure anime I've watched (and the ninth in the series), though I definitely intend to watch the first Pretty Cure. It's so cute! And happy! And the animation is really nice. I love all the characters, but I guess my favorites would be Akane,

Ugh, I need to start watching Precure! Why does it have sooooooooo many seasons? @__________@

The one I've been wanting to begin with is Heartcatch, since the female lead is voiced by Nana Mizuki. +____+

Then start with Heartcatch. The great thing about Precure is other then two direct sequel seasons, each one is an AU. So you can watch what you want, in any order you want. I have completely seen Futari wa Pretty Cure (first season), Heartcatch Pretty Cure and Suite Pretty Cure (the one right after Heartcatch). You can even watch the non-canon team up movies without having seen all the seasons. The only spoilers in them are the identities of cures that join later in the season.

BTW, if you like Nana Mizuki then also try Symphogear.
