Down here we have a wonderful supermarket called Publix. There's a lot of memes along the lines of "You know you're from [Florida] [the South] when..." that include "you know no supermarket will come close to Publix."
And it's not that it's extraordinary, it's just that it's Publix.
Anyway, I used their store brand canned tomatoes, because they're very good (I use them in the chili I make). Diced tomatoes with chilis, and diced tomatoes with onions and garlic. Couldn't find one with olive oil, but it didn't seem to matter.
It's wonderful taste, but not very soup-y. Too liquid to be an entree, though. :) I'm going to combine it with the black beans and rice recipe I like, because one of the things that occurred to me was that I would like to try it with black beans.
*nods* I know of Publix. My uncle worked in corporate for a long time, and my cousin currently does something there...driving a truck, I think. I fondly remember my aunt (married to the uncle working at Publix) saying sometimes she just had to run to Winn Dixie for one little thing because it was closer, but don't tell uncle! ;)
